Manufacturing
Power products are manufactured to the J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Class 2 standard using highly trained personnel in our 10,000 square foot ISO 9001 registered facilities. As a result, our products are quickly available, and of consistent high quality.

Due to environmental concerns, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), in the electronic world is slowly becoming mandated worldwide. AEGIS Power Systems Inc. supports compliant solutions to protecting the environment and serving our customers effectively. As an ISO9001-2000 registered company, we have taken a conscious approach to environmental responsibility within our facility and products, which include control of business, design, and manufacturing processes.
We have made a commitment to comply with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the Restriction of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyls (PBDE) as required by the European Union (EU) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directives. The RoHS Directive allows exemptions when adequate substitutes cannot be found and allows an exemption of lead in the product; which is identified as RoHS-5/6 or RoHS-5. Products free of all six restricted substances are identified as RoHS-6/6 or RoHS-6. There has been uneasiness in the electronic community concerning the effects of RoHS compliancy such as tin whiskers and mixing of leaded and unleaded components. AEGIS is monitoring these concerns and will respond sensibly as the industry becomes more knowledgeable to its implications.

RoHS-5 Products (Leaded):
       Standard production process of AEGIS Power Systems, Inc.
       Meets all requirements of the RoHS directive except:
              Some components containing Lead may be used in manufacturing this product.
              Leaded Solder will be used in the manufacture of this product.
       The finished unit may have more than 1000 ppm of lead in some homogenous material.
       Previous products built to RoHS-6 can be converted to RoHS-5 by customer request
       and may require a one-time documentation charge.

RoHS-6 Products (Non-Leaded):
       Non-standard production process of AEGIS Power Systems, Inc.
       Product build using RoHS-6 must be specifically requested by the customer.
       Meets all requirements of the RoHS directive to the extent possible with some
       components containing Lead when an alternate is not available.
       Lead Free (Non-Leaded) Solder will be used in the manufacture of this product

Customer Support
Each of our products have a qualified project engineer assigned to it that can answer all questions concerning that particular product during development and after manufacture. All AEGIS Products carry a two year warranty from date of shipment, and our highly trained support team can respond to all nature of difficulties that may evolve after product purchase. Our association with Vicor and their technical support team staffed with applications engineers provides product, application, and technical assistance to customer's needs concerning Vicor components which are an integral part of our product line.
